Korean American Federation of Los Angeles is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization acting as an umbrella organization to over 200 Korean American community organizations in Los Angeles area.
KAFLA endeavors to,
- Act as an umbrella for the Korean American community and various Korean American organizations by representing and protecting their interests in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area
- Represent the interests of Korean American community
- Promote social, cultural, and economic exchange and understanding among the Korean American community as well as various ethnic and mainstream communities in Los Angeles area to 'Bridge the Gap'
- Advocate for the political and social rights and interests of the Korean American community
- Recognize the significance of passing down the unique and distinct nature of the Korean culture to the next generation of Korean Americans by seeking to educate the second generation of Korean Americans of their Korean heritage
